2022 Chess Crown Series Silver 1 oz Pawn X 8 + Custom Capsule + Leather Insert – #705

This is an assembly consisting of (all before use) eight 1 oz “The Pawn” silver pieces assembled inside a custom and dedicated to the series “Plastic Capsule Dome”. We have placed a beautiful 4 mm thick red leather gasket that is included with the capsule. Two additional gaskets (Blue and Black) will be supplied to increase the choice of colors used. The crown is built with eight Pawns. It looks great and waiting years to assemble the piece with eight of the different cheese pieces may not result in a harmonious outcome as expected.

The 1 0z Pawns are Antiqued and are assembled inserted into the bottom part of the plastic round circle. We placed these eight Pawns inside the circle to spare you an agonizing task to do it yourself. In doing so, you have been aided and spared from breaking the plastic cover. It is very hard to insert the items in a groove because the insertion of the last piece requires use of a force. Before you disassemble the arrangement – think twice.

The Chess Crown Series Silver 1 oz Pawn Stacker is the first in the series. All six types of chess pieces (king, queen, bishop, rook, knight, and pawn) will be featured. Each pawn piece will be stackable and with the help of a special capsule, eight separate pieces go together to form a crown.

The obverse and the reverse of 1 oz The Pawn Silver Stackable contain the same design. The obverse is domed while the reverse is concaved. This structure enables multiple pieces to stack neatly into place. Given the complexity of the design, the precision necessary to enable each piece to click into place is truly astounding.

The design itself is a genuine work of art. In it we see the image of a pawn across a silver shield-like surface. The design also includes the image of an actual shield beneath the pawn with a cross on its center. Meanwhile, the backdrop consists of a beautiful pattern that resembles a rose window. The shield’s design is quite ornate and recalls imagery found in old Cathedrals and other Medieval Gothic architecture.

The history of chess can be traced back nearly 1500 years to its earliest known predecessor: chaturanga. This Indian game spread to Persia, where the Arabs defeated the Persians. The Arabs adopted chess, and it subsequently spread to Spain and the rest of southern Europe. It is believed that chess evolved into the game we now know around 1500.
