The coin’s reverse features a brand new design of the Kookaburra, a famous native bird of Australia. These birds are known for their call which mimics human laughter. In this depiction, the bird is perched upon a tree stump facing right. Great attention has been paid to the details of the bird and one will notice that each of its feathers has been etched in great detail. Several leaves compliment the background.
